Re: [tech4all] MAN DID REACH THE MOON!

Again:
Being not serious here: This would all be answered if you played the game Area 51, man actually went to the moon, just too many horrible things were seen on the moon, so they filmed a fake and showed it.

Being serious now, great article.

[tech4all] MAN DID REACH THE MOON!

Dear all,

Before the explanation, here are some useful links.
#1: http://www.thevoiceofreason.com/Conspiracy/moon.htm
#2: http://www.badastronomy.com/bad/tv/foxapollo.html

Now, here are the opposing explanations to all the reasons that claimed that "Man didn't land on the moon".

[REST ASSURED, MAN DID LAND ON MOON!]

What is the evidence?

1) Claim: Film clearly shows a flapping flag but there is no wind on the moon, how can this be?

Argument: It isn't flapping, things can move in a vacuum, it's just 'wobbling' until it finds its center of gravity which, in weightless space, is everywhere.

2) Claim: There are various lighting discrepancies on pictures which indicate more than one light source, when the only light source was the Sun, there was no artificial light source taken.

Argument: If there are two light sources on the pictures used for this evidence, then why aren't there two shadows? Check out the perspective which could compromise the pictures.

3) Claim: There are no stars in the sky

Argument: They are there, you just can't see them. In daytime on earth the stars are still there, you just can't see them.

4) Claim: There is no engine noise behind the voice of the astronaut as it comes down to land on the moon. The sound of the engines should have been deafening.

Argument: The microphone is at the mouth of the astronaut. In space there is no sound, thus you couldn't hear the engine noise.

5) Claim: There is no blast crater beneath the lunar lander

Argument: They decelerated down slowly, they didn't crash down, they were slow enough to cause dust clouds but not remove all dust.

6) Claim: There are pictures of the feet of the lunar lander which look completely dust free, why?

Argument: There is no moisture in space, nothing for dust to cling to and thus it just did not stick, hence it looks pristine.

7) Claim: The on-moon photographs were taken with cameras which had view finders on which the astronauts could not see, yet a number of the pictures are perfectly framed.

Argument: OK so they couldn't see the view finder, but they practiced endlessly on earth before they went. They took thousands of pictures and only showed the good ones.

8) Claim: The space suits and the space craft were just not strong enough to fight off the radiation either on the Moon itself or through the Van Allen radiation belt.

Argument: They went through the Van Allen belt in an hour, this was not enough time to be affected by the radiation. The astronauts were affected by radiation, they just were not made ill by it as the doses were small. As for 'how did they survive the sun's radiation on the moon if the suits weren't strong enough': Hmmm... well, the suits must have been strong enough if you think the conspiracy is wrong, or they didn't go...

9) Claim: The moon walking, if doubled in speed, looks like running on earth.

Argument: UHM, NOT REALLY. OK if they had a suspension cord on their backs maybe, but take a look at the moony buggy, that looks realistic driving in a weightless environment.

10) Claim: There were problems on earth with the LAM moon lander, which was very unstable on earth (if you moved your body weight slightly it would destabilize the craft, but on the moon pictures it was flawless.

Argument: You are in weightlessness up there, the problems were all because of gravity on the earth.

11) Claim: Photos: When an astronaut goes into the shadows you can still see him, why, there is no light? Also there is at least one picture with the sun behind the craft but everything in the foreground is clearly visible, with no secondary light source surely this is not possible, it should have been in a shadow.

Argument: Yes but light bounces off objects too so that doesn't prove anything - the sun's light could bounce off the surface of the moon (even on earth the sun lights things it doesn't have a direct line of sight of.)

12) Claim: On some of the film footage from the moon there seems to be identical scenery, one with the lander on, one without. Clearly the one without must be wrong as they had not been there before and after they left the lander base was still there.

Argument: But there are differences, the backgrounds are not identical if you look closely enough. The Moon is a pretty featureless place and certain mountains can look similar.

13) Claim: Identical backgrounds on different days with pictures of astronauts looking around but we are told this is a different day, how can this be?

Argument: It's a simple mistake.

14) Claim: People have been killed and threatened to keep this story quiet.

Argument: 750,000 people work either directly or indirectly for NASA - they couldn't keep this a secret.

15) Claim: Launch of Apollo 11 did happen, just the astronauts went round the earth for 8 days, in the interim NASA showed the pictures and then they touched down again.

Argument: There is testimony from very respected astronauts who say they went to the moon, are they liars?

16) Claim: Strange camera work on Apollo movies which suggest a person is working the camera when in fact nobody could possibly have been left on the moon to operate the camera.

This starting frame shows the camera looking straight at the Apollo craft as it blasts off from the moon's surface.
As it goes up, the camera pans upwards.
Even higher... the camera filming this (on the moon) continues to follow the ship upwards (see the scenery at the bottom of the screen disappear). But there was nobody left on the moon to film this, surely this is further evidence this is all a fraud?

(If you look at the video [see below] you can also see that the camera seems to pull backwards slightly when the explosion takes place, as if someone is pulling back... All very strange...)

Argument: No person was working the camera, the automatic camera could focus on an object and was programmed to follow it, (or maybe it could be controlled from ground control.)

Later on in this particular movie:

In this picture the space ship (which blasted off in the sequence above) is shown floating above the moon's surface. But there must be a camera above it to take this shot! Was there a second space ship filming this? Or is the whole thing a fake, or somehow computer generated?

Argument: There was a second ship from which this was filmed. This smaller ship on the picture couldn't have made it back to Earth on its own. It had to dock with a mother ship ie the ship with the camera on it filming this shot.

[tech4all] Re: Did man ever reach moon??? know the truth

Dear friends,

Hope you are all having a nice time at Tech4all group.
Now, i have found out the perfect answers to the questions raised in
our group's "second" email.

The landing of man on Moon was TRUE.
There are clear evidence for that.

I will forward that second mail that sparked the controversy along
with the new evidence that i happened to find which prove otherwise.

Watch the next two mails, as this is the end of a very long discussion.
Please post your comment on this too.

Regards,
bharath

RE: [tech4all]

you will have to do some research here.. a lot of
"professional" equipment already have built-in
interfaces (iLink, FireWire, or even old RS-232). As
another respondent noted, you can get PC based "IR
Xmitters" which are designed to do this (you can even
get them for your PDA - search for NEVO)
automatically.

Actually, NEVO came with my old Ipaq 3950... and I use
it for most of my home theatre equipment.

Depends on what you mean by "central control"... if
all you want is power on/off, you can just use X-10.

So... as "starting points", you need to research your
equipment for its built-in functionality; study IR
linking hardware; and look at X-10 "Home Automation"
extensions for Home Theatres.

Have fun!

Re: [tech4all]

Well I don't think you can just plug them in and theey just can be controlled, so what you would like need to do is have multiple Infared senders, one for each device, and write a program to send a signal to each one  to do a set action.

Re: [tech4all] Placement Paper

Hi!

I can give u a bit info abt L&T hardware placement. (Infotech I am not aware)
L&T has strict criteria for overall Firstclass. u need to fill up the form then they shortlist students, get in touch with ur T&P dept.
written test has 3 papers - it is objective type .
1. related to ur course either Electronics / Mechanical
2. mechanical compitency ( this is not exact wordings) general question where ur understanding of basic physics is tested e.g. related to density.
3.general mental ability - this is the easiest. only figurative test.some corelation between figure & all.

then based on the score ppl are shortlisted . there is GD which is generally noneliminating round.
then there is round for technical & personal interview.

technical interview is really worth ,
BEST LUCK

Hmm - this could be any number of things. With the AMD 3200 - which
one exactly was it (socket, model name etc)? Have you ensured that the
cooling is up to scratch - you need to be very careful with that.
Have a read of this:
http://www.heatsink-guide.com/content.php?content=maxtemp.shtml

Now to check the temperature of the CPU while running windows, you
could probably do with downloading SpeedFan. Ensure also that you are
using the Cool 'N Quiet drivers from AMD - which throttle down the
processor to save power, and more importantly - to keep it cool -
especially with the turn of hot weather we are having.

Next - check that you have the driver versions for the mobo hardware
that match with the new firmware. Out of interest was it an NForce
based mobo or VIA?

Which antivirus software are you using? Are there any network shares
on the computer?
Be aware also that Windows 98 is dropping off the support lists of HW
manufacturers, and given the volume of malware on the internet, now
would be a very prudent time to consider windows XP (and SP2). You
have been warned.

Anyway - good luck. I have just been struggling with a system that was
regularly overheating- which was down to a fan short circuit, some
other fans working against each other, bad airflow due to too many
ribbon cables across the fans wake, and it also was helped by using
the AMD Drivers.

Kind Regards,
Orion

Re: [tech4all] Tech: What does 1x in CD-ROM,DVD Means?

The "early" definition (from the old-timer) was 1x
equated to "real time" with only minimal buffering
involved. In other words, if you had a cd that you
wanted to put 40 minutes of audio on, it would take 40
minutes to write it (1x). A 4x drive could write it
in 10 minutes.

Of course the data rate would be different for
real-time audio or real-time video. The bytes of data
required per second for audio and video is quite
different. "real-time" HD Video will require another
data xfer speed...any guesses as to how fast that
baseline is?

[tech4all] Major problems with a new build

Hello,

My name is Tim and I need some advice.

I built this computer a few months ago but it is
having sevral problems. I'll give you the specs.

Win 98 2nd edition. AMD 3200 prcessor a Gigabyte MOBO,
512 MB ram. Ati 9600 Pro 256 Video card. Sounblaster
Audigy 2 zs. Liteon cdr and an 8x dvdr optical drives.
I flashed the bios for the updated version and
everything was running corectly.

Now for some reason when I try to open the "my
computer Icon" it locks up. It recognizes the scanner
I added, but it won't work. (though it did when I
first installed it) Also the cdr drive won't copy cd's
any longer. I have the AOL software on here with the
virus software but had it uninstalled for two days
untill I could check out another problem I was having
(A software conflict I think) durring that time family
used the computer to access the net so it may have
contacted a virus. SO now even AOl's computer check up
locks up the computer and the virus scan locks it up
as well. I ran a registry check but didn't see
anything that might cause this problem.

I have tried to reinstall the operating systems but
that doesn't seem to help.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Tim

Sorry, I wrote the ! on the wrong side of everything but I hope it was
understood that I meant factorial. It should be:

( 0! + 0! + 0! + 0! + 0! )! = 120.

[tech4all] Thin PCB

Hi there,

I need some suggestions for the fabrication of an one layer thin PCB
(0.008") that should be fix to a connector for device identification.
I don't know what is the best technology to do so (flex, thin
FR4, ...) and what's the best way to fix the PCB to the connector
(auto-adhesive, glue, ...).

Any suggestion will be appreciate.

Regards.

[tech4all] Tech: What does 1x in CD-ROM,DVD Means?

Hi,
We all are speaking about CR-Drive read/write speads
like 40x,52x etc...

Whether any one thought of what does the '1x' means?

Here it is, While a 1x CD-ROM drive has a maximum data
rate of only 150 KBps, a 1x DVD-ROM drive can transfer
data at 1,250 KBps, which is just over the speed of an
8x CD-ROM drive.

so, 52x CD-Drive read speed = 150 * 52 = 7800 KBps
[Kilo Bytes per second].

But , a 52x CD-Drive can't really read at the
specified 52x speed! why? Answer in next mail....

and, Do u know why 1x speed of CD and DVD is
different? ...answer in next mail....

[tech4all] Re: Laptop problems

I tried and failed to open it up - the case screws are under the
screen hinge, and the screen won't come off - but i got some
compressed air and blasted the machine from every available vent, and
now - sans dust - it seems to run ok, which is great!
